Needs & Priorities

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for always providing all of our needs, even those we do not know about.

You know what is best for us and you have instructed us to come to you and ask; and whatever is good you will give.

Help us to know what is good in your eyes and give us the wisdom to know and ask for things that will help us and others.

You are the true provider and no-one else can give to us like you do, not even ourselves.

Thank you for the air that I breath and for helping me think good thoughts.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

While you were here you met the needs of many people.

I realise that what I consider to be someones need may not be at all.

So I’m asking you to help us to understand the needs of others the way you did.

I thank you for meeting our needs.

I thank you for understanding.

I thank you that you help us understand what people desire just by what you do for us.

You said that we should not hold back good from anyone who has a right to that good, especially when it is in our power to do so.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

When you were here you focused all your energy on relationships.

You made time for people, you shared, you were present at many public gatherings.

I realise that you saw these things as important.

What in our lives do we need to make important or less important?

You said that we shouldn’t worry about what we are going to wear or what we are going to eat or anything else to do with this world.

We should put what things are in your kingdom first and get to know about all those things.

What are those things Lord?

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

Its the end of a long and tiring week.

Deadlines, good news, bad news, tasks, commitments, a lot has gone on in the space of just a week.

But through it all, you gave us lessons.

By that we know we will never stop learning, though the days may be long and tiresome.

What did you teach me this week Lord? To always reach out to you and talk over with you about every decision and choice I make.

Even though it may seem far-fetched; you said that when we search for right wisdom and knowledge about everything we will come to know you.

Thank you.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for healing me.

Although I am still in pain, I know that your working behind the scenes to make me strong again.

Thank you for the tender loving care of (say their name/s)

I know you sent them.

There are somethings I didn’t have to do because of their provision.

This is my prayer for all the sick people. Provide help for them all the time so their burdens can be lightened.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

You are my shepherd and because you are my shepherd, you give me all that I need.

Thank you that you don’t leave us in a state of want.

All that I have been given by you is enough for me.

At times it doesn’t feel like that. But you said it.

So help us be satisfied and content with whatever you give us.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

Time spent with you is never time wasted.

Although others may think so and although life tries to make us think otherwise, time with you is time spent wisely.

Lord, I want to be like Mary who had a passion for learning all about you.

But I also want to be like Martha whom you guided and corrected.

Help us all along the way to keep our priorities in order.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

You talked alot about sowing seeds and farming and plants.

You told stories about these things? Why?

You talked about all the different kinds of soils and what happens when seeds are planted in them.
You said the soil is like us. But what kind of soil am I?

What does it take to be good soil where seeds are planted and everything begins to grow? Water? Sunlight? Air?
Lord help us to understand what we need.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for being available and open to our requests and needs.

Sometimes we don’t always ask for what we ought to have but you know what we need.

You help us understand what our needs are and not only our own but the needs of others as well.

Only that kind of inspiration reflects exactly what your all about.

Thank you for all your support.

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for creating the seasons because they really do teach me a thing about where I am in life.

Autumn. Winter. Spring. Summer. There all beautiful and have so much valuable things to show us about you and life.

Right now, Lord what season am I in in life. What do you think? How am I coping with this season Lord? What do I need to learn?

In your Name,

Dear Jesus,

You talked about how important it is to make time to talk with you.

Its not an easy task especially for those of us who live in fast paced societies.

So many distractions and so many committments.

Lord I have really put you in the back and not given you the place in my life that is due to you.

I want to recommit to spending time with you one step at a time.

In your Name,

What is important

Dear Jesus,

Its been a tough past few weeks.

Experiences have come to an end, new things have started up. Adjustments and goals have been made.

Everyday there is something to learn. Even about ourselves; what one can and cannot do.

Thank you for this insight and thank you for helping me discover life and what is important.
