To Follow Your Lead

Dear Jesus,

You are my shepherd and I am your sheep.

Though the paths you take us on are right paths, some of these paths are dark and scary.

David wrote a prayer on this and lord I believe that he understood that you would take him through these dark places.

But he also understood that you were his comfort and he wasn’t alone because you were only taking him through them.

Help us all to understand that we are not alone and we have nothing to be afraid of.

You know where we are going and you know where to take us.

Help us to follow your lead.

In your Name,

Amen

Moving Beyond Myself

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for giving me this desire to nurture and care for children.

You cared for children very much and disliked it when others turned them away from you.

I am still learning so much about my children, other children and their needs.

It takes a lot of moving beyond myself to meet their needs.

What one, small thing can I do day in and day out to meet their needs?

In your Name,

Amen

What is the Bigger Picture?

Dear Jesus,

If you were here, what advice would you give to employees?

What would you say to someone struggling to preserve their integrity?

There are so many pressures all around, so many influences and situations that seek to pull us away from your way of doing things.

Nothing is ever black and white in the workplace.

Tell me lord, how can I navigate through situations where basic trust has been sabotaged?

What is the solution here? What is the bigger picture?

In your Name,

Amen

To Be Connected to Others

Dear Jesus,

You loved connecting with people when you were here.

You spent moments each day investing your time into building close relationships with people.

You shared things with people, you helped people, you confided in others and others confided in you.

How blessed you are to have had so many meaningful relationships, to be rejected and to still want to be connected to others.

Thank you for this example you have given us.

In your Name,

Amen

Enough for Me

Dear Jesus,

You are my shepherd and because you are my shepherd, you give me all that I need.

Thank you that you don’t leave us in a state of want.

All that I have been given by you is enough for me.

At times it doesn’t feel like that. But you said it.

So help us be satisfied and content with whatever you give us.

In your Name,

Amen

In You They Trusted

Dear Jesus,

You are holy. In you, people in history trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them.

To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

Help us to remember this when we feel like you are far from us.

You did it a long time ago. You’ve been looking after and protecting your own for a very long time.

In your Name,

Amen

Keep In Touch

Dear Jesus,

Its a brand new week. I didn’t even notice it was coming.

Thank you for a relaxing break with friends and family.

Friends and family are very important to me. Some of us value friends and family very highly.

But some of us find it difficult to put it into action, including me.

What practical things can I do to keep in touch with my loved ones? To show them my thanks.

And where and who do I put that energy into?

You’ve made it clear in the bible that we should be thoughtful about what we give and who we give to.

For not everyone will appreciate it.

In your Name,

Amen
